STAKEHOLDERS

A core mandate of the project consists of engaging relevant stakeholders, including NGOs, service providers, migrant-led organisations, researchers and policymakers on local, national and EU levels in the research, in order to better take into account their needs and feed results from the project back into their work.

Hystory

The project builds on earlier efforts such as CLANDESTINO (2007-2009), the first-ever research project on estimates of irregular migration in the EU, and the REGINE (Regularisations in Europe) project (2007-2008) that examined regularisation practices in 27 EU Member States, in which several MIrreM partner organisations as well as individual researchers were involve.

It also builds on the City Initiative on Migrants with Irregular Status in Europe (C-MISE) and will closely collaborate with six other EU-funded projects under the Horizon Europe call topic Conditions of Irregular Migrants in Europe and Return and Readmission of Irregular Migrants.
