Maegan Hendow
ROLE IN THE PROJECT:
Maegan Hendow is a Researcher in ICMPD’s Research Unit, with particular experience in project management and research in EU-funded projects in the area of migration. She has coordinated research activities, conducted field research and drafted country-level and comparative case studies for several large-scale EU-funded projects, with a particular emphasis on irregular migration, border control (including the use of new technologies at borders) and fundamental rights. This has included the EC projects “Migrants in Countries in Crisis” (2015-2019), “Study on smuggling of migrants” (2015), Horizon 2020 “FastPass: A harmonized, modular reference system for all European automatic border crossing points” (2013-2016), the FRA study on “Fundamental Rights Treatment of Third Country Nationals at the EU’s External Borders” (2010-2012) and FFG “Migration Trend Analysis” (2019-2020).
