Katarzyna Rakowska

ROLE IN THE PROJECT:
Katarzyna Rakowska is an assistant researcher in the Centre of Migration Research and a PhD candidate at the Department of Sociology in University of Warsaw. She graduated from Institute of Applied Social Sciences at the University of Warsaw. She was a coordinator the National Science Centre Preludium grant “Trade unions and the restriction of the right to strike in Poland”. She is preparing a doctoral thesis: “The Law on the Resolution of Collective Disputes and the Right to Strike in Poland and their impact on the bargaining power of employees”. Her research interests include individual and collective labour relations, including the institutionalization of work as well as issues related to gender, migration, origin and their impact on labour market position.
