Research employs machine learning methods to perform exploratory data analysis and improve upon causal inference designs in applied sociological research
Alejandra Rodríguez Sánchez holds a PhD in Sociology (2022) from the Humboldt University of Berlin and is currently working as postdoc at University of Potsdam. Previously, she worked as research assistant at DeZIM (Berlin) and the University of Cologne. Following her undergraduate studies in economics and sociology at the Universidad del Valle (Cali), Colombia, she completed two master’s degrees at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, a MA in Research Training for the Social Sciences and a MSc. in Statistics. Alejandra’s research employs machine learning methods to perform exploratory data analysis and improve upon causal inference designs in applied sociological research. Her main research areas of interest are migration, family demography, statistical modeling, and computational social sciences.
